This gives you greater flexibility and more time to discuss ideas and collaborate in class. Depending on your major, there are opportunities for practical experience and international placements. We’ve also got state-of-the-art facilities like our own recording studio, multimedia labs and digital suites. Effective communication and critical thinking skills are valued in all industries. Communication and media, education, psychology, social policy, writing and publishing are just some of the career opportunities our graduates pursue. The Musicology major provides students from outside the Music program with an introduction to the history of Western classical music, and popular and classical musics in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It offers perspectives on modernism, postmodernism and post-postmodernism, and incorporates social, political and philosophical critiques of music.
