This course provides the opportunity for eligible graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing to extend their skills and understanding of the research process.
You'll have the opportunity to develop in clinically focused research and deepen your understanding of the reciprocal relationship between nursing research and the contexts of nursing practice.
This course aims to enable you to conduct research relevant to nursing in any of its dimensions.
You'll develop skills in using research designs and methodologies, and to reinforce your understanding of the crucial role of research in the evolution of the discipline of nursing. You'll also develop academic writing skills to produce a dissertation.
This course comprises a total of 48 credit points.

Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline at an appropriate level.
All applicants must be eligible to graduate from a Bachelor of Nursing program from UTS or another tertiary institution at the time of application (followed by successful completion). Applicants must be registered as a nurse in their country of citizenship or residence at the time of enrolment (exemptions to this rule may be sought from the Bachelor (Honours) Selection Committee in exceptional circumstances).
