The Master of Psychological Practice (with specialisations) from Charles Sturt University provides a fourth and fifth year of training in psychology for graduates of an accredited three-year psychology program. This course has a limited number of Commonwealth supported places (CSP) available. If you secure a CSP your fees are lower than a full fee-paying place. It also means you can apply for a HECS-HELP loan to pay for your studies and defer repayment until you earn above a certain amount. This course is part of an articulated program of study. Articulated programs allow you to build on your study to achieve the right level of qualification for you.

Applicants for the Master of Psychological Practice must meet the following Admission Requirements: The personal suitability to undertake professional practice as a psychologist, assessed through interview and referees reports AND Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited undergraduate program within the previous five years with a Grade Point Average of no less than 5.5 in core level 2 & 3 psychology subjects (equivalent fulltime) of the accredited sequence. OR Completion of an APAC accredited Graduate Diploma program within the previous five years with a Grade Point Average of 5.5 excluding any introductory psychology subjects. AND Completion of PSY301 Advanced Research Methods in Psychology OR PSY461 Advanced Research Methods in Psychology with Charles Sturt University or the equivalent from an APAC accredited program.
