Labour studies examines the social, economic and political realities of work. Students explore the past, present and future of the labour movement and the effects of globalization on our daily lives. Social justice and fundamental rights, the way work is organized, the dynamics of power in the workplace, workplace health and safety and the political economy of labour are examined critically. Theory is grounded in practice, as we examine the forces that shape working peoples lives and our responses to them.BA Advanced 120 credit hours of study with a minimum GPA of 2.0 in all faculty-required courses. Students select a major and minor program of study or a double major in lieu of a minor.
