For Ontario high school students a minimum 79% final entrance average is required. Averages are calculated on the top six 4U or 4M credits including English 4U. General Secondary Education/Leaving Certificate examination results indicating all subjects taken and grades earned issued in English and submitted directly to Western by the Ministry of Education. IELTS Academic is required with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no part less than 6.0. Students must achieve a written TOEFL score of 580 or higher and a score of 4.5 on the TWE or a score of 85-90 on Internet Based Test (IBT) with no section less than 20. Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - A minimum overall score of 58 is required with no score less than 56.

MELAB score of 80 or higher with no less than 78 in any section.

C.A.E.L. (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment) - A minimum score of 60 is required with no part less than 60.

(PTE Academic)- A minimum overall score of 58 is required with no score less than 56.
