For students whose time and financial resources may be at a premium, TWU’s offers an abbreviated form of the Master of Arts in Leadership degree through the graduate Certificate in Leadership. The certificate is comprised of five leadership courses designed to cultivate leaders from the inside out. Should they decide to do so, students can ladder into the full Master of Arts in Leadership program, as long as they complete the MA program within five years of beginning the certificate.

By completing five leadership courses, students will learn to lead effectively and immediately apply learned principles to their workplace.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Two core courses of your choosing

Three 600 level courses from your chosen specialization

Total 15 credits to earn Certificate

Four-year undergraduate degree completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the final two years of the degree. English Language Scores: English as a Second Language (ESL) applicants achieving a minimum iBT TOEFL score of 100, or IELTS score of 7.0 overall, are considered to have achieved that level of proficiency, and may be eligible for direct entry to the MAEL program. Applicants scoring lower than this level, but with a minimum iBT TOEFL score of 100, or 7.0 overall, are eligible to apply for the TWU ESLI Pre-Master’s Program (PMP). Achievement of a PMP passing grade indicates demonstration of an acceptable level of English language proficiency for program entry.

In addition to the standard admissions requirements international applicants are required to submit either a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score as proof of your English language abilities. Minimum TOEFL score for any graduate program is 100 iBT or equivalent. Minimum IELTS score for any graduate program is 7.0 on all bands.

Application deadlines: There are rolling application deadlines throughout the year.
