We attract research students from around the world, who get close supervision and thorough research training to prepare them for careers inside and beyond academia. The School’s research in Language, Literature, and Cultural Studies is broad, covering a wide range of languages, including, but not limited to- French, German, Irish (Early and Modern), Italian, Near and Middle Eastern Languages (Hebrew, Turkish, Sumerian, Arabic, etc), Russian and Slavonic, Spanish, Japanese.
