Supported by leading researchers, artists and facilities, you will develop a balance of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in both Engineering and Music, gaining qualities sought-after by employers everywhere. A technological grounding will be essential as digital environments become more prominent. This programme will equip you to take advantage of the emerging opportunities in the evolving creative industries. Your specialisation/major can influence what you pursue. The music industry runs on more than performers and composers, and with quantitative, problem-solving and technical skills, you’ll easily adapt to modern working environments. Our Engineering specialisations are accredited by Engineering New Zealand, a signatory to the Washington Accord, making our BE(Hons) a recognised qualification in many countries.You must complete several compulsory components in order to complete our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). This structure is purpose-built to ensure the quality of our degree and to help us assess our students’ capabilities so we can provide the appropriate support where necessary.
