The programme is designed for pursing a wide range of career opportunities in the New Zealand electronics industry as an electronics engineering technician. The courses in the programme are focused on the design and implementation of engineering technology that provides learners with sound thinking and informed problem-solving abilities. The learners will be able to identify, evaluate and manage risks within well-defined engineering problems. Gain the essential knowledge needed to set up solid functions in the electronics engineering field. Electronics engineering also focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of electronics circuitry used in different types of equipment used in TV, radio, computers, smartphones, and IoTs.

NCEA Level 2*, and A minimum total of 48 credits at level 2 in four subjects including at least 12 credits in mathematics (preferably achievement standards in algebra, calculus or trigonometry), or equivalent qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate or Cambridge), or equivalent credits from appropriate trades training and/or demonstrated skills and experience; and including a minimum of 10 literacy credits at level 1 or higher (for those who achieved NCEA Level 2 before 2013).
