During your studies, you will look at the effects of climate change, and build knowledge of earth surface processes, geographical information systems, sustainability and environmental management. Fieldwork is a key element of this course, and trips are aligned with modules so you develop applied skills and gain practical experience. Recent trips have included residential courses across the UK, in places on our doorstep such as the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, as well as further afield at international locations, such as Scandinavia and Barcelona. Small group teaching is another key course benefit, and there are strong links between course content and research projects led by our Ecosystems and Environment Research Centre. **Get closer to industry**A unique course feature is the integrated industry placement during your second year. After completing taught modules during trimester one, you will move to complete a placement in industry during trimesters two and three.
