Our faculty encompasses researchers and research students from a variety of health-related backgrounds who therefore represent a wide range of academic and professional interests. This creates a vibrant and diverse research environment where academics and practitioners work together, leading to a number of specialist themes available for PhD and MPhil studies:
Health-related research: Midwifery, workforce, patient/carer experience, stress, ageing, mental health, and wellbeing.
Community health research: Marginalised groups (adults and young people), models of care, and community engagement.
We invite applications towards a PhD or MPhil programmes on topics related to these broad themes. Established, world-leading academics offer sustained and high-quality supervision. The sheer breadth of activity in our faculty creates an inspiring research environment, as well as the opportunity to share ideas with professionals from a variety of organisations such as trusts/hospitals, charities and research institutes across the field.
