Our PGCE Secondary Drama course is part of the Expressive Arts Area of Learning and Experience. This Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programme provides a path to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a combination of university-led training and school-led placements. Develop your skills in pedagogy and reflective practice, focusing on drama education across the secondary age range. Experience diverse teaching environments through urban and rural placements, including Welsh-medium schools. Professional teaching experience (PTE) and mentor support are integral, ensuring comprehensive training. The programme emphasizes the importance of drama in helping young people become ambitious, creative, and ethical citizens. Financial support is available through bursaries and scholarships.
