The Philosophy MA at UWTSD offers you the chance to explore these ideas from the comfort of your own home. This distance-learningcourse is ideal for those who are passionate about philosophy and eager to delve deeper into its core areas. Whether you are a philosophy graduate aiming to expand your expertise or someone with a background in related subjects seeking a fresh perspective, this programme provides a supportive and stimulating environment. Our course is designed to help students gain a philosophical grounding, ensuring they are equipped to engage critically with both classic and modern ideas. You will explore a wide range of themes, including ethics, philosophy of mind, and contemporary philosophy, as well as areas such as the history of philosophy and analytical philosophy. These subjects provide a rich foundation for understanding the diverse and evolving debates that shape the philosophical world. One of the programme’s key features is its flexibility. Students can select from various modules, tailoring their learning to suit their interests. These modules offer an opportunity to engage with specialised topics while developing valuable research skills. Alongside taught elements, students undertake a dissertation in philosophy, enabling them to focus on a subject of their choice in depth. This project allows you to showcase your ability to think independently, organise complex ideas, and contribute to philosophical scholarship.
