The horticulture business option prepares you for entry into a horticultural business enterprise with a choice among several built-in minors. You'll learn basic horticultural skills, plant care techniques, and the role plants and landscape applications play in sustaining the environment. The option gives you an opportunity to minor in your choice of agricultural economics, agribusiness, general business or entrepreneurship.HighlightsStudy abroadIn horticulture, you will have the opportunity to travel abroad to experience global greenhouse horticultural production. Countries explored include Belgium, France, Germany and Holland. Real-world experienceHands-on laboratories are included in many courses. You will have the unique advantage of utilizing the Greenhouse Learning Center, The Botanic Garden at OSU, and the Water Conservation and Irrigation Training Center. All students in the department are also required to complete an internship prior to graduation.
