Bachelor of Science in Education Early Childhood Unified Birth through Kindergarten

Pittsburg State University

The Early Childhood Unified (ECU): Birth through Kindergarten major prepares students to make a difference in the lives of young children by developing the knowledge and skills needed to work with children from birth through age eight and their families in a variety of settings. The program provides extensive real-world experience, with candidates gaining hands-on opportunities to engage with young children through the NAEYC-accredited Little Gorillas Preschool and other high-quality early learning programs in the community. Students complete more than 500 hours of field experiences with children from birth through kindergarten, providing valuable practical preparation for careers in early childhood education and related programs.
