Designing the digital worldWhen you pursue an electrical engineering degree at Pacific, you'll explore a wide range of topics, from communication and automatic control systems to developing machine learning and AI systems for controlling complex systems. This broad understanding of engineering will allow you to communicate your ideas to others in the field and adapt to rapidly changing technology.Throughout your time at Pacific, you’ll work with a faculty mentor to develop a curriculum plan based around your interests and skills. Whether it’s renewable energy systems or motor control, electrical engineering electives provide avenues for exploration within this broad, dynamic field.As you work toward your electrical engineering degree at Pacific, you'll have opportunities to participate in undergraduate research projects, compete in student competitions and collaborate with your peers on real-world projects. Our senior design project requires you to apply your engineering knowledge to solve a practical problem, providing invaluable hands-on experience.Pacific’s state-of-the-art electrical engineering labs are equipped with the latest tools and technology, which allow you to work with circuits, test equipment, design microcontrollers, robots, control systems, energy conversion, power electronics and the latest software.Electrical Engineering Program Educational ObjectivesThrough their careers in electrical engineering or related profession, Pacific graduates are expected to demonstrate the following within a few years of earning their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering:Competency in the electrical engineering profession via promotion to positions of increasing responsibility, publications, and/or conference presentationsAdaptability to new developments in science and technology by successfully completing or pursuing graduate education in engineering or related fields, participating in professional development and/or industrial training courses, or pursuing professional licensure.Electrical Engineering Student OutcomesUpon graduation, graduates will have:an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematicsan ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factorsan ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiencesan ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contextsan ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectivesan ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusionsan ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies

Transcripts

  • Official, sealed copies of transcripts for all high school and college coursework are required for all freshman and must be sent to the Office of Admission.
  • Failure to acknowledge and submit all transcripts may be grounds to deny or revoke admission, to be dismissed from the University, or to have any degrees granted revoked.
  • Proof of graduation from high school in the form of a final transcript is required for all freshman and is due on or before the first day of class. GED or state high school equivalency exam may also be accepted.
