The Advanced Mathematics concentration offers a rigorous foundation for graduate study in mathematics or a closely related discipline. Students achieve procedural fluency, exposure to a broad range of mathematical fields, extensive experience writing and reading mathematical proofs, perspective on the interrelatedness of mathematical and scientific disciplines, and advanced knowledge in one or more areas of mathematical specialization.

Students must have official high school or university transcripts and it must be mailed directly from your high school or university to MTSU. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed the recommended college preparatory courses and must present one of the following: GPA 3.0 OR.Minimum composite ACT score of 22 OR minimum SAT total score of 1100 (Evidence Based Reading, Writing and Math).If you do not meet either of the above requirements you will need: Minimum 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19 OR SAT score of 990 (Evidence-Based Reading or Writing and Math).
