If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Mathematics could open the door to a rewarding career. The Secondary Education Mathematics Major leads to a Michigan Standard Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Middle School (grades 5-9) Mathematics and/or High School (grades 7-12) Mathematics. Students pursuing this major will have the mathematical knowledge and training to teach mathematics at middle school, high school, or both levels. By becoming a secondary mathematics teacher, you can be part of a rewarding profession that makes a difference in the lives of today’s youth.
