Students in the accelerated program gain a strong foundation in chemical theory and chemical experimentation. Emphasis is placed on the fundamental areas of chemistry, including analytical, inorganic, organic, physical, and biochemistry. Graduate-level coursework builds upon this education, engaging students in faculty research and pre-professional training that prepares them to become chemists who are able to think creatively and critically. Students will help faculty members find solutions to real-world problems pertaining to catalysis, pharmaceuticals, therapeutics, materials, and sustainable energy.
