The M.S. in Communication and Rhetoric offers a research-driven, interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for addressing complex communication challenges in today’s technological and cultural landscapes. Emphasizing a strong foundation in rhetorical theory, media studies, and research methodology, the program equips students to both contribute to and apply the evolving knowledge base of communication scholarship.Students gain the analytical tools and practical skills necessary for applied research in industry and government or for continued academic study at the doctoral level. Areas of focus include digital media, data visualization, strategic communication, and human-centered design. The curriculum combines core coursework in communication and rhetoric with opportunities to tailor studies to specific theoretical and research interests.
