Students must have completed a master's degree. Students must complete an application to the university and have official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended submitted to the Office of Admission. Full admission to graduate studies may be granted to students who have earned a baccalaureate degree with a minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale from any institution of higher education regionally accredited by the North Central Association or any of the seven regional accrediting organizations. Applicants pursuing DNP degree will choose one of the following entry routes PostBaccalaureate BSN to DNP PostMasters PostMasters with New Specialty DNP transition RN nonBSNThe PostMasters curriculum builds on direct care or systemsfocused competencies that were previously acquired through formal coursework leading to a Master of Science degree in NursingPostMasters applicants who would like to acquire a new role such as an administrator adding the Family Nurse Practitioner option will need to complete additional courses and practicum in the selected area of role specialization Courses are generally taught in a blended curriculum requiring online and classroom sessions The DNP transition RN nonBSN is a route of entry for students with an RN license and a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing DNP transition students are required to take an additional 1 to 4 courses during the first FallSpring semesters following admission to the College of Nursing and before beginning any coursework in the DNP degree
