All applicants must meet the general admissions requirements for the Ph.D. specified by the Graduate College. In addition, the applicant is strongly encouraged to have completed a bachelors or masters degree in chemical engineering or a closely related field with a minimum 3.25 grade point average. An exemplary academic record in chemical engineering is required of all applicants, with research experience positively contributing toward this record. In addition, three letters of recommendation must be submitted. International students must also submit the language competency examination results.Admission determinations will be made by the departments Graduate Committee and will take into consideration the students previous academic training and record of achievement, the recommendations provided in letters from three referees, and the information about the proposed area of study described in the letter of interest.
