The specialized LLM in Corporation Law, designed primarily for foreign-educated lawyers, offers full-time, intensive academic training in the legal regulation of US and global business activity. Master’s students take most classes with our permanent faculty, including some of the nation’s leading theorists in law and economics, corporate law and bankruptcy law, as well as academics whose work is oriented more toward practice and the profession. Some courses for the law degree may be completed in the departments of finance or international business at NYU’s Stern School of Business, and drawing from our location in America’s business and financial center, courses are instructed by industry experts who hold permanent positions in businesses and firms outside the Law School.The structure of the academic program ensures access to a rigorous and broadly-based curriculum including a required class in US corporation law and an exceptionally rich array of courses in finance, bankruptcy, securities regulation as well as numerous specialized seminars. Students are afforded maximum flexibility to design their own course of study within the broad area of relevant courses developing an individualized degree program that integrates innovative approaches to the study and practice of business law.
