In other words, this program turns theoretical economic models into useful tools for economic policymaking.The Department of Economics offers programs leading to Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in economics. The Ph.D. and M.S. programs emphasize strong economic and econometric analysis with areas of specialization including development economics, household and consumer finance, industrial organization, labor economics, applied macroeconomics and environmental economics.
