The Oklahoma State University Department of Philosophy aims to provide a broad philosophical education for our graduate students through diverse perspectives and specializations. Subject areas taught include ethics, history of philosophy, philosophy of religion, philosophy of science broadly construed, epistemology, Asian philosophy, feminist philosophy, continental philosophy, logic and philosophy of language. We maintain a small, intimate graduate program that enables one-on-one mentoring. Various tracks and final project options are available to MA students depending on your career aspirations. Our goal is to prepare you for PhD programs in philosophy and to provide information and guidance to those who want to work outside of academia.Thesis option: 30 credit hours total, with 6 for thesis researchReport option: 32 credit hours totalCreative Component option: 32 credit hours totalDegree requirements include Symbolic Logic, Ancient or Medieval Philosophy, History of Modern Philosophy, Pre-Twentieth Century History of Philosophy, Contemporary Ethical Theory or Topics in Ethical Theory
