Our Master of Laws in Health Law program is ideal for lawyers at all stages of their careers who would like to build a specialized foundation in a legal field that intersects with a variety of areas. These include corporate and labor law, criminal law and administrative law. We’ll prepare you for leadership roles in government, pharmaceutical, insurance, nonprofit or health care organizations.As regulations become more complex for businesses and nonprofits to navigate, there is a growing demand for lawyers who understand the different components of the health care system. You’ll examine topics such as food and drug law, workers’ compensation, bioethics and disability law. We offer the flexibility to complete the program either full time or part time, depending on your individual needs and professional schedule.The technologically sophisticated and contemporary Lynne L. Pantalena Law Library is a valuable resource for accessing materials, including the most recent periodicals. You’ll also hone your persuasive writing and research skills during the thesis course, in which you’ll write a master’s thesis suitable for law review publication.Admission is limited to graduates of ABA-accredited law schools who possess a strong record of academic achievement and/or of achievement in practice.
