Master of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics

Whether your goal is to work in the United States or abroad, our master’s degree programs will give you the applied economics training and hands-on experience to become a leader in your chosen industry. You’ll learn fundamentals of economic theory, public policy, development economics, econometrics, and data science. You will also learn to analyze market forces, understand the economic value of commodities and natural resources, and discern how economics influence policy decisions in both government and industry.We offer two graduate degree programs: a three-semester Master of Science in Applied Econometrics and Data Analytics (AEDA) and a four-semester Master of Science in Applied Economics and Policy Analysis (AEPA). Regardless of the program you choose, you will join a tight-knit group of students, faculty, and alumni who are striving to make an impact in their businesses and communities through research and analysis of pressing economic issues.Each cohort has an enrollment of approximately 10 students. With 12 full-time faculty members in the department, our low student-to-faculty ratio provides graduate students with ample opportunities to work closely with our faculty and contribute to ongoing research projects such as predictive modeling, fiscal policy analysis and development in emerging economies.
