Special requirementsApplicants holding baccalaureate degrees in clinical laboratory sciences/medical technology and generalist certification by the Board of Certification of the American Society for Clinical Pathology are eligible for the advanced masters concentration. In addition to the general admission requirements of the VCU Graduate School, the general entrance requirements for the Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences for the advanced masters concentration are:Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in clinical laboratory sciences (medical technology)National certification as a medical laboratory scientist or equivalent levelMinimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for at least the last two years of undergraduate workThree letters of recommendation from employers or recent instructors addressing academic potentialSatisfactory interview
