As a Mathematics major, you gain a solid foundation in the knowledge and skills that underlie mathematics. Our courses cover topics such as the mathematical basis for computers, computer languages and advanced concepts in mathematics. Developing expertise in these and other related areas, you build the habits of thought needed for mastering concepts in mathematics - concepts applicable to many fields as well as advanced academic study. As a Mathematics major, you may be eligible to pursue pathways to graduate study.

Admission requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Mathematics are identical to those currently outlined for admission to a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree in St. Johns College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
