You will be able to develop your legal skills and understanding whilst dividing your time equally between law and another subject. Law permeates and affects culture and society, and is a perfect complementary field of study to many other subjects. Studying law at 50% works particularly well with a number of other programmes in the humanities and social sciences, for example criminology, business and politics. Please note that if you opt for a 50:50 (Joint) programme involving Law (programmes titled "Law and", these do not satisfy the academic requirements of becoming either a barrister or solicitor. You will graduate with a BA (Hons). It is also not possible to increase the Law component of a 50/50 programme at the end of your first or second year, due to the requirement to complete specific modules as part of an LLB. If you choose a 75:25 "Law with" programme, you will graduate with a LLB (Hons).This programme is available with either a Year in China or a Year Abroad. The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. The Year Abroad offers students the opportunity to spend a full academic year studying at one of our partner universities around the world, following a mixture of culture and/or discipline-related modules. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China or a Year Abroad you will have the opportunity to apply after you arrive at Liverpool.
