The MSc by Research in Food Process and Manufacturing Optimisation is a science and engineering-focussed programme that is tailored for individuals seeking a postgraduate qualification through comprehensive independent primary research in the field. Applicants must possess a degree in food technology/engineering or a related field such as chemical, mechanical, materials, or computer science. Students will undertake supervised research in the modelling of food processes and manufacturing operations, and present their findings in a thesis. The programme integrates aspects of manufacturing operations, robotics application in food manufacturing processes, data analytics to cultivate critical-thinking, and research skills essential for postgraduate studies. This programme offers students the autonomy to shape the focus of their research, receiving dedicated one-to-one support from experienced supervisors.
